Mwangaza Children’s Choir is a group of spirited, talented and passionate children who represent the needy and poverty stricken people of Uganda. The children tour on behalf of Africa Renewal Ministries to worship, minister and share their message of hope through song and dance. Mwangaza (m-wahn-gah’-zah) performs original Ugandan music, which represents the country’s rich and deep-rooted culture. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” – Ephesians 5:8

About Us

Mwangaza is the Swahili word for “shining light.” Mwangaza Children’s Choir is dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song, dance and testimony, The group, based in Ggaba, Uganda, tours for Africa Renewal Ministries (ARM) to raise awareness and resources for churches, schools, orphanages, medical clinics and child sponsorships. The choir is a missionary and fundraising branch of Africa Renewal Ministries, which was formed organically through the vision of giving the children of Uganda the forum to speak to people through their music and testimonies. Mwangaza Children’s Choir will travel the U.S. in 2010 from January to June. The choir, which will consist of 22 children ranging from the ages of seven to 13 from the western region of Uganda, plan to perform at many churches and other venues throughout Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Colorado and other surrounding states. 2010 U.S. Tour

The music of Mwangaza Children’s Choir will once again fill the walls of American churches, schools, homes and music venues when the troupe travels more than 8,000 miles from Uganda to embark on the 2010 U.S. choir tour. Mwangaza Children’s Choir, which includes 22 children from western Uganda, will arrive to the U.S. Jan, 2 2010 to begin their six-month journey, where they will bless communities with their singing, dancing and testimonies.
